Once the old compressor has been removed, begin by removing the receiver/drier or accumulator, and the expansion valve or orifice tube from the vehicle. Thus, there is no need to add any additional oil to your system. Install the new receiver drier or accumulator, and new expansion valve or orifice tube. Next, install the new or remanufactured A/C Compressor. Install and tighten the A/C Compressor mounting bolts. Reconnect any electrical connectors to the A/C Compressor. Re-install the refrigerant lines and A/C belt to the A/C Compressor. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Evacuate the A/C system with an A/C servicing machine for at least one hour. Check the system for leaks. If there are no leaks, install the refrigerant charge (Check the A/C system sticker under the hood of the vehicle for the proper amount and type of refrigerant for the system). Then, let the system set for 2 minutes.
